Randall | Methinks thou doth protest too much. I am not making any comments about their right to say anything they want. I think you missed the point entirely. I'm showing you what they, by their own admissions, believe. |
Catalina | What was jwhop proposing the other day...no immigration at all till we've thrown out ALL illegals.. None of us gets to decide who deserves to be here except the govt and even they overstep at times |
Randall | Jwhop can speak for himself, but as I have stated all along, ANTIFA is against the Constitution, which they now openly admit. |
Catalina | There are crackpots in every faction. The point is most of the 30k+ counterprotesters were neither Antifa nor violent. There arent that many antifa in the whole country and in charlottesville they also protected people. The other point is you jump to DEFEND the white nationalists free speech but condemn antifa. You want to make out that all the counterprotesters were negated by the few idiots The nazis/antifas preaching extremism are equally wrongheaded and the peaceful people ruled the day. |
Randall | Wrong on all counts. I would defend anyone's right to free speech. ANTIFA were the ones on college campuses wearing masks and smashing windows and firebombing police, IN PROTEST OF FREE SPEECH. ANTIFA were not protecting people in Boston. They were attacking them, in particular the ones who were not Nazis but who were peacefully protesting the removal of statues and trying to escape from the Nazis--some of which were from all walks of life, including quite possibly high school teachers and professors. God forbid that some who value history there were NOT Nazis! For shame! |
Catalina | Fine. We are agreed then. I myself don't think the statues should come down as I've said many times now.. so I'm not calling all who want to keep them Nazis. However that rally in Charlottesville was openly described as a recruitment exercise. When do we label antifa AND the neo Nazis as terrorists? How many incidents does it take to qualify? And when do we admit that Boston was a mostly peaceful show by both sides? And that despite the name (free speech rally) most of the counter crowd thought that was a cover for right-wing rally? |
Catalina | And what is the name if not the link to "antifa boston page".. no such comes up in fb search |
Catalina | K found it. There are sime nasry customers there http://m.facebook.com/BostonAntifa/ They do not however represent the bulk of the thousands who were there to protest racism etc |
